Terms of Service
Effective April 25, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Apped iOS app, website, and related services (together, the “Service”), operated by Jasper Aelvoet (“Apped”, “we”, “us”) from Ghent, Belgium. By creating an account, signing in, subscribing, using generated app previews, exporting code, sharing an app, joining the waitlist, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who can use Apped
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and old enough under the laws of your jurisdiction to enter into these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Your account
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including apps you build, messages you send, and any content you share. Keep your login credentials secure and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Anonymous accounts are provided as a convenience and may be subject to lower limits and shorter retention.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Apped offers free and paid plans. Paid subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store and managed via RevenueCat. By subscribing you agree to the applicable App Store terms and the prices shown at purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your App Store settings. Deleting Apped or deleting your Apped account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription.
Plan limits, features, prices, and entitlements are described in-app and may change from time to time. Refunds, when available, are handled by Apple according to its standard policies. Apped does not separately process refunds for App Store purchases, and Apped never receives your full payment card details.
4. Your content
“Your Content” means the prompts, app descriptions, chat messages, source files, generated app data, icons, feedback, and other material you submit to or create with the Service. You own Your Content as between you and Apped. Subject to third-party rights, open-source licenses, and these Terms, Apped does not claim ownership of the apps or code generated for you.
You grant Apped a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, display, reproduce, modify, analyze, and process Your Content as needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, support, enforce, and improve the Service, including sending relevant content to OpenRouter, rendering previews, generating icons, providing public share links, and building export archives.
You are solely responsible for Your Content, the legality of the apps you build, and making sure you have the rights and permissions needed to use, share, export, publish, or distribute it.
5. AI-generated output
The Service uses AI models to generate code, text, and other output based on your prompts. AI output can be incorrect, incomplete, insecure, or offensive. You are responsible for reviewing and testing any AI output before relying on it or shipping it to users. Apped does not guarantee that AI output is accurate, functional, free of vulnerabilities, or suitable for any particular purpose.
Similar prompts may produce similar output for different users. You should not assume that AI output is unique or that it is free of third-party rights.
AI output may include references to open-source packages, third-party APIs, or platform capabilities. You are responsible for complying with any applicable licenses, terms, laws, App Store rules, and permissions before using generated output outside Apped.
6. Generated apps, previews, and export
Generated app previews run inside Apped and may include generated client code, generated server routes, local or server-side databases, WebSocket behavior, and access to device capabilities if your device grants permission. Do not enter production secrets, private keys, confidential information, regulated health or financial data, or sensitive personal data into prompts, files, generated previews, or generated backends unless we have agreed in writing that Apped is suitable for that use.
Code export, when available on your plan, provides a snapshot of your generated source code as-is. Exports may require dependency installation, configuration, environment variables, third-party accounts, platform permissions, migration work, or additional testing before they run or can be shipped outside Apped. Some generated assets or runtime-only data may be omitted from export.
If your plan lets you connect a custom AI model provider, Apped stores your API key in encrypted form and routes eligible AI runs to the endpoint you configure. You are responsible for the provider account, charges, quotas, terms, model behavior, and data processing that apply to that endpoint. Apped may still enforce runtime, rate-limit, safety, and abuse-prevention controls.
7. Public sharing and remixing
If you create a public share link, anyone with the link may view the shared app, and other users may be able to save or remix it. By sharing an app, you grant Apped and anyone with the link permission to view, run, save, copy, and remix the shared app through the Service until you revoke the link. Revoking a link does not delete copies, remixes, screenshots, exports, or other materials already created by others.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to allow others to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive purposes.
- Generate or distribute malware, phishing content, sexual content involving minors, or content that violates third-party rights.
- Upload or generate content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or data rights.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or otherwise abuse the Service, its APIs, or OpenRouter.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, plan limits, runtime limits, or security mechanisms.
- Use public share links, generated previews, or exported code to expose secrets or private data.
- Use the Service to build a product that competes with Apped by replicating its core functionality.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.
9. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third-party services including OpenRouter, custom AI model providers you configure, Apple, Google, Firebase, RevenueCat, Expo, infrastructure providers, and web search or retrieval providers. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Apped is not responsible for third-party services or their availability.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, including the Apped name, logo, website, app, and software, is owned by Apped and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Apped trademarks or branding outside of the Service without our prior written permission.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we need to protect the Service or its users. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR FIT FOR YOUR NEEDS.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APPED WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO APPED IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR USD $50 IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID ANYTHING.
14. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Apped from and against any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
15. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. Material changes to the Terms will be announced in-app or on this page, and the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and Apped agree to resolve any dispute exclusively in the competent courts of Belgium, to the extent permitted by law. If you are a consumer, you may also have mandatory rights under the laws of your country of residence that these Terms do not limit.
